No Stress Necessary #2

How I see it (as a therapist): How to handle stress:

It doesn’t matter if your guy/gal won or lost. What matters is whether you take the time to tell your elected representative (at all levels of government) what YOU want them to do (regardless of if you voted for them or not.)

These elected officials do not do anything by themselves – they have to work together with other representatives to make joint decisions.

Yes you expressed your voice with your vote, but it is imperative that you continue to make your voice heard by communicating with your representative.

Once you’ve done all you can about a matter, then there’s no reason to stress – it’s out of your hands. So make sure you keep speaking up.

About juliemckaycovert

I am a therapist, teacher, photographer and published author. I am a lover of life and nature. My husband, Hugh, and I live off the grid on a remote 40 acre island, Shelter Island, just off of Drummond Island in the far eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This blog is about my life, a life I thought I'd never be able to live. This blog is about dreams and ideals being manifested. It is about daily events with a backwoods twist. It is about the simple pleasures and wonders being brought forth. I invite you to be inspired and even, as some friends have, live vicariously through my words.
